About Yarn Boutique Specialty Yarn Store

MyYarnBoutique.com and Yarn Boutique the store is owned and operated by me, Amelia Templar and my family.

The store and web shop were a long time in coming. I was taught to knit and crochet by my Grandmother at a very young age and even from those early days, I always dreamed that one day I would own my own yarn shop.

The opportunity presented itself when in the last year, 3 good yarn stores in the greater Rochester area closed up. One of these was the "Knit n Purl" when Betty Podlesh decided to retire. I purchased her remaining inventory and relocated next door into a much larger and well lit space.

With over 2400 sq ft, it is one of the largest stores in the Northeast.

The shop is large enough to have a separate class room and enough space for a comfortable sofa and love seat area to work out those tough problems...or to solve the worlds problems.

MyYarnBoutique.com is an extension of the retail store Yarn Boutique located in Rochester, New York.

We currently have 7 Fiber Artists employed at the retail store and assist in the web store when called upon. They all are excellent knitters and teachers and are happy to assist in any buying decision as well as help with any knitting problem. They also participate in our on-going classes
